The Villa

Sunbathe on any of the four balconies, chill out in the hammock nicely shaded under the willow tree in our garden. After a lazy day by the pool why not have a BBQ on the large front veranda. Alternatively, enjoy a glass of wine and curl up by the TV and keep up to date with the news or the latest episode of East Enders. Watch your favourite DVD or even take off on one of the mountain bikes and explore this lovely resort. Make sure you read our visitors book where you will find lots of tips from our previous guests.

Shopping

If you want to find fantastic bargains, then a visit to one of the many markets is a must, the biggest and best market is held every Tuesday in Fethiye, just hop on the Dolmus which stops right outside the Villa or take the water taxi and test your bartering skills. You can check out Calis Sunday market just down the road from Villa Fleur or take a boat trip to the beautiful town of Gocek. The mountain town of Hisaronu also has a weekly market as well as lot's of souvenir shops. Fethiye is a typical Turkish harbour town, try the fish market where you can select your choice from the days catch and then have it cooked to your liking at one of the surrounding restaurants.  If you like Designer clothes, shoes, bags or jewellery then you will find it all here at very reasonable prices.

Trips

Boats - One of the many boat trips on offer is a must, you will quickly see why they call this place the Turquoise Coast, the Mediterranean is clean, clear and warm here.  A full day trip visiting 12 of the secluded islands nestled around the bay of Fethiye  will cost as little as £8 and the price also includes lunch.

Explore - If you want to explore deep into the area away from the tourist trail, take a jeep safari which visits ancient ruins, little villages and even a fresh water trout farm where you will stop for lunch. Hire a car and head down the coast to the wonderful Pratara, Kalkan and Kas. There is absolutely no need to drive to get out and about in Turkey, the Dolmus ( small minibus service ) goes everywhere and even the farthest journey is unlikely to cost more than £1. Very few of the local Villages have been touched by tourism and are great to explore.

You are unlikely to get bored on this holiday, whether it's History with some of the worlds oldest Archaeological sites and rock tombs, Adventure with white water rafting, climbing in the Tauraus mountains, you can try Paragliding and micro-lighting  at Olu Deniz or diving in some of the clearest water in the Mediterranean. Natural Wonders are all around, don't miss the amazing Salklikent Gorge, the Mud Baths at Dalyan or Turtle beach where thousands of young caretta turtles hatch every year. The local Surf Club offers a range of water sports including Kite Surf and Windsailing. Fresh water and sea fishing are only minutes away and there is even a water park just down the road making Villa Fleur the perfect holiday base.

 Beaches

Calis ( Challish ) has miles of sand / shingle beach, here you can stroll down the promenade which lined with bars and restaurants. Olu Deniz, is close by and regarded one of the best beaches in Turkey, the Blue Lagoon at Olu Deniz is a national park and is simply spectacular, have a look in any holiday brochure and you will see pictures of this beach. For the more adventurous, Olu has one of the worlds premiere Paragliding launch sites, Mount Babadag is 6,000 feet above the resort, sat in front of your pilot your decent takes about 40 minutes and is simply spectacular. The rest of beach life around the coast consists of mainly quiet and secluded sandy coves.

 Bars & Restaurants

McDonalds, KFC and Pizza Hut are just some of the names you will not see within 100 miles of Calis! Just across the road from Villa Fleur is the Palms Restaurant, you will get fantastic service, great fresh food, good company and a range of theme nights. The Cafe Pazar is a five minute walk from the villa, the food is great quality and even greater value for money, eating out will not break the bank on this holiday! We have about 4 other good restaurants and a couple of local shops within 2 minutes walk from the villa. For a great selection of places to eat, stroll down to seafront promenade, here you will find many top quality bars and restaurants, get down early to see some the best sunsets ever or even spot dolphins playing in the bay. Calis has a nice balance for young and old, there are a number of lively music bars and even a disco as well as a number of great chill out bars and even a traditional Turkish tent bar!  Hisaronu is located up in the mountains is a real party town. For that special occasion we would recommend a visit to the private Kizilada Island, you will be picked up by speed boat and transported out to this magical place, get there before sunset for an unforgettable experience. In Calis you must try the Orient Express, ask for George who will take care of your every need, try the Bus Stop bar, meet Teo and and the boys and watch the amazing cocktail juggling.
